What is freeread?
freeread is a platform designed to help users access information or read articles online from anywhere in the world without being stopped by paywalls that the vast majority can't afford.
Currently, users are limited to 3 articles per day to avoid legal issues. All article requests are routed through my subscribed account, which pays for the reads, so authors are still supported. I'm simply offering a smoother reading experience through a cleaner, user-friendly interface.
How & Why?
You know the saying, "love your neighbor as yourself" and "sharing is caring" ? Well, let's say this is one of such example on the internet. I pay to access Medium articles and share them with all of you, my internet friends.
I do this as a way to help anyone out there, who needs to quickly read an article but can't afford to, or just can't, due to any of the numerous possible reasons there could be.
What is the future like?
Right now, I have no idea. This is just an early development to see the direction this goes in. However if there is a spike or uptick in usage, I might end up paying more attention.
